2002-11-26 - 3:45 p.m. Back for the evening from our three night visit to Breaux Bridge. I'll tell all later but for now will just post my bird list. 1. Neotropic Cormorant (Lake Martin) 2. Double-crested Cormorant 3. Anhinga 4. Great Blue Heron 5. Great Egret 6. Snowy Egret 7. Little Blue Heron 8. Tricolored Heron 9. Cattle Egret 10. Black-Crowned Night Heron 11. White Ibis 12. Black Vulture 13. Turkey Vulture 14. Blue-Winged Teal 15. Osprey 16. Red-Shouldered Hawk 17. Red-Tailed Hawk -- both Eastern and Krider's 18. Common Moorhen 19. American Coot 20. Killdeer 21. Western Sandpiper 22. Rock Dove 23. Mourning Dove 24. Inca Dove 25. Barred Owl -- heard only 26. Belted Kingfisher 27. Red-Bellied Woodpecker 28. Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker 29. Downy Woodpecker 30. Northern Yellow-shafted Flicker 31. Pileated Woodpecker 32. Eastern Phoebe 33. VERMILION FLYCATCHER (Avery Island) 34. Eastern Kingbird 35. Blue Jay 36. American Crow 37. Fish Crow 38. House Sparrow I also saw several flighted Mallards on Bayou Teche but I am not counting them as I strongly suspect that they are at least semi-domesticated.
