on the 12th day of christmas my most ginormous-est crystal had a request
2015-01-07 - 8:33 a.m.
Most of the time a gem and mineral collection is a pretty chill companion that doesn't have much to say. However, when I was taking down the Christmas lights for Twelfth Night yesterday, I got a rather sarcastically stony vibration from my giant crystal. The big guy did not want to give up its lights. I replaced the Christmas lights string with a more spring pastel string, so that the lights are all shades of light green and peachy now. The big guy is purring. Awwwww. later I just read an article about how a restaurant eliminated tips and is paying the servers -- wait for it! -- $35K a year. Dude. In what universe can anybody live on $35K a year? It's not yesterday any more. If it was $55K a year, I'd think you could get some professional servers. But $35K a year? Go back to 1988 if you think 35K is a salary worth bragging to the media about how generous you are...
