the beautiful butterflies of bolivia

Well, it's high time that I posted a page to show off some of my photographs of the beautiful butterflies of Bolivia. Unfortunately, I don't have clue one where to go to identify these butterflies. Heck, some of them could even be daytime moths for all I know. So the page is not useful for butterfly identification. It can only be useful for inspiration. There must be countless species of butterflies down there, many colorful and confiding. After all, these few snapshots are just a sample of the most
cooperative specimens that I happened to encounter. Imagine what the serious collector could find. Indeed, there were moth scientists from the Smithsonian present at Los Volcanes during our visit.
