My most popular tweet of all time is me tryna hunt down a Julian Casablancas + The Voidz poster. Yes, I found it, thanks all. Found and purchased! When it comes in, I'll have to get it framed and photo'd so everybody can see why it's perfect for chez peachfront. I think people keep retweeting not because they care whether or not peachfront buys it but because it's really an amazing piece of art. Yellow and black with big-eyed owl and some kinda eagle/goshawk kinda thingy on it... If it has "writer" or "author" in its URL, it's a scam methinks. Yesterday somebody tried to recruit me with the promise of a job but I smelled a rat and simply said I was indeed available for freelance gigs and could provide links/references if needed so let me know what they had in mind. Turns out they're one of these places that pay writers to insert product placement in their articles for other people's publications -- clearly a conflict of interest. Once I shared my conflict of interest policy, they weren't interested any more. Like who didn't see that coming? There's a lot of plagiarist/blackhat "writers" out there this time of century. Ask one of them! I'll be honest. I could tell right away that it was a scam and didn't even get my hopes up for a moment, and the only reason I was reminded about the exchange at all this morning was I just reading another diary where some scammer tried to entice the person with a promise of a job to fill out a lengthy survey. I think I recognized the name of the scammer even, if it's the same guy, he's been around for awhile.
