While you're waiting, enjoy a smile at this gutsy Guira Cuckoo, one of two (a pair?), that was harassing this perplexed White-tailed Hawk. Mostly, the cuckoos relied on maneuverability and hitting from the back, but this bold bird actually briefly landed in the thorns to give the enemy the hairy eyeball. The attack may not have been as courageous as we imagine, since the White-tailed Hawk held a prey item when we drove up, and the bird may well have been too full to consider attacking anyone. Even a pesky Guira Cuckoo who just won't stand down. Ultimate result: Nope, not Guira pie. The poor Hawk finally had to give up and flap off.
