ladybugs in the zone 2014-10-03 - 8:31 a.m. The mockingbird pair is still somewhat together. They were out front on my sidewalk the wet drizzle this morning, not exactly snuggling, but uneasily sharing the many puddles for a rainbath. They can't seem to quite decide whether or not they should break up and each hold its own fall territory. Terrifying torrential downpour during bird-feeding time yesterday with a couple of thunderbolts so loud I almost fell down. It's the kind of storm where the power always goes out these days but this time it managed to stay on. Maybe every tree that can be struck by lightning has already been struck. There's a ladybug in the house. It has landed on me twice in a week. The first time I thought I took it back outside but I guess I was wrong. It came back about 11 PM last night, and I couldn't be exercised to get out of bed. I just made it fly off. Now I'm wondering where it is.
