spiderworts in bloom with a hint of red salvia

A rush post before we head off to J.'s for the Easter get-together. Just another beautiful spring morning complete with an indignant Mockingbird who got to the bird bath before I had a chance to refill it and an absolutely gorgeous adult male Ruby-Throated Hummingbird at the near feeder. The spiderworts are in their glory. I took a few more from the lawn and moved them to the front flower patch.

all spiderworts, all morning

I noticed a mutant spiderwort in the front rock garden. At first I thought it was pure white, but on closer inspection, I could see that it was a very faint lavender. The other spiderworts in the rock garden are the normal color.

The hibiscus is blooming away but it has a large flower on a small plant. Did I accidentally buy a dwarf variety, or will it grow larger? I'm hoping for a huge hibiscus one day.
