book in question was on the power of networking but i don't think there's a network in the world gonna fix this
2012-03-19 - 10:10 a.m.
I've crunched the numbers, and we're just not
quite making expenses any more. We're not off by
a lot, but we're going in the wrong direction. Of
course, the last year was an unusually expensive
12 months. I had to buy a new car, I had to seek
out the land of the Peachfront Conure, and somehow
I ended up visiting five continents. So I'm
probably going to have to re-open the freelancing
business or start up another business, and I've
been taking an online course to guide me in the
right direction since I haven't seriously sought
out writing business in this century. In one of
the books I was recommended to read, I found
someone's unpaid credit card bill, being used as a
bookmark. I will now shred it, since it holds
their name, address, account number, and all the
rest of the embarrassing facts. In fact, I was
able to ascertain that they are near the credit
limit, have had at least one late fee for this
year, and have managed to negotiate their interest
rate down to 4.75%, which suggests that they're
already in credit counseling. Not the kind of
thing I'd be leaving in a public library book if I
were these two. Be that as it may, I posted the
small portion above as a sort of negative
inspiration. People, don't let this happen to
you!
