the mad potter of biloxi 2003-03-25 - 3:07 p.m. Here are some photographs taken in March 2001 at the George Ohr museum in Biloxi. It's difficult to do justice to the quality of the glaze, shape, and color of these unusual pots. They must be seen to be fully appreciated. Note: All photographs � 2001 by Elaine Radford. Um, yeah, Biloxi. You might find a beach and some seafood and some casinos there too. The endangered "Least Tern" nesting area can be seen from Highway 90 going from Gulfport to Biloxi. Don't interfere with nesting seabirds. It's illegal, and the gulls and terns will drive you off their property anyway if you get too close. Some easily seen birds from the highway include Great Blue Heron, Brown Pelican, Laughing Gull, Black Skimmer. In Biloxi proper, I've occasionally seen Osprey from Farradday's restaurant in the Isle of Capri casino or from one of the three Casino Row hotels of Grand, Isle of Capri, and Magic when I've had a room overlooking the ocean. back - next All Rights Reserved, Copyright 2002-2017 by Elaine Radford
