puddle jumper 2011-12-15 - 9:18 p.m. Seems like I have spent the entire day eating, drinking, sitting. Had a day pass for the club. Sailed through security without anyone calling the cops on me, went directly to club, had a breakfast of yogurt and mystery cookies and, I'll admit, a Bailey's straight up. First class MSY-ATL. More Bailey's. Pre-departure drink and in-flight drink. Snack basket. I think my flight landed a tad early, for I had time to make a club stop at the D terminal in ATL, which turns out to be bright and clean and a great place for reading, compared to the dark, gloomy club at the E terminal -- which, however, has the showers. My lunch was a glass of Pinot Grigio and a whole lotta olives. ATL-TYS offered a plane barely larger than the plane I took to/from El Trompillo. Except because the plane at El Trompillo is too small for a flight attendant to walk down the aisles, they hand you a bottled water or two before you get on the plane. Here in America, they just give you a dirty look and after the door is already closed, they coolly inform you that there will be no drink service. Yikes. Good thing I had the exit row. I left behind my useless "Have One On Us" drink coupon which expires on the 17th, in hope that someone will find it who can use it on a different flight. The flight was only 26 minutes, and a good thing too...My folks picked me up, and pretty soon I was drinking more wine (Merlot this time) and then there was the turkey, cranberry sauce, and so on.
