red, white, black 2012-08-05 - 3:50 p.m. I have decided that we should meet some people who don't live in Vegas, and in pursuit of that effort, D. and I attended the Boozy Book Club at the big beer pub last night. Nice weather for it, as it had rained in the morning, and there was a decent breeze. We discussed, or did not discuss, The Night Circus. Hard to discuss a book that's mostly color and style. Having no red scarf, I wore a black dress and a froo-froo crocheted scarf from Shooz that did have some red in it. We had an animated discussion and met some interesting folks who own a thoroughbred farm, just not much discussion of the book. :-) Just now I saw the feeder had run out, and I put out some more food. There was a Red-Headed Woodpecker watching me, and by the time I sat down in my office to watch the feeder, both adults and the young Red-Head were eating. What a lovely family.
