sleeping without the fishes

2009-10-07 - 10:36 a.m.

I knew it was a mistake when I did it, but I tried to break in my new shoes on the flights home. Now I have blisters on the backs of my ankles. Argh. I'll skip wearing the shoes today and hope I can toughen up in time for the trip. Otherwise, it's back to the old shoes...

A friend from some of my previous trips finally got her visa from the Bolivian embassy, so we can share rooms, and I'm spared a $450 or so single supplement. Whee.

The Sealabration is today, but I couldn't make myself get up in time to go into town with DH. Now I feel guilty, but at the time, I just covered my head with my pillow. I think I slept 11 hours. The mental exhaustion factor.

I guess M. got the last slot on the tour, as it is now showing as fully "booked" online.
