war of the woodpeckers 2012-07-07 - 8:10 p.m. Cute sight of the day: Both adult Red-Headed Woodpeckers were using the feeder and carrying food back and forth -- and they also shared the job of chasing a fledgling Red-Bellied Woodpecker off the feeder. First one Red-Head knocked him off, and then the other Red-Head knocked him off. Poor baby. They teamed up on him. But they have little babies to feed. I listed and sold the last piece of furniture from the neighbor's throw it on the trash-heap sudden move-out. Only $20 but it was the piece that had been gnawed by the orange cat. And, yes, I put up the ad in the morning, and it was gone at lunch time. The self-published book on how to "pimp" Craigslist may put it crudely, but this guy really opened my mind with how to sell there. Final summary from the neighbor's junk heap -- I spent $10 on paint and supplies, got $85 in cash, and also repaired two tables that I am holding back for my own house. Score!
