Read my new book, The 10 Best Things You Can Do For Your Bird at Amazon or at many other fine distributors like Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and more.
By public demand, and after a delay of an embarrassing number of years, I've finally put my notorious essay, Ender and Hitler: Sympathy for the Superman, free on the fabulous internets.
A bibliography of my published books and stories.
Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars. |

Eh, photobucket and the internet
at the house are giving me fits since
I've been back. Very slow to load.
And then I get distracted and wander
off and do something else.
Yeppers, that's a whole bunch of
excuses for why I haven't finished
editing and posting my photos from
the northern Argentina adventure yet.
Enjoy this highly confiding White-
rumped Hawk -- we even heard him
singing! -- as a teaser.
Honestly, it's a stretch to say I
took this picture. It appeared on my
camera but I had very little to do
with it. My unsteady hands are just
not made for free form digiscoping,
so S. did the real work of taking the
photo...and a beautiful job it is,
even though he isn't used to working
with hobby cameras held together by
spit and aluminum electronics tape!
The bird list will be upcoming
soon too. I have decided to add
scientific names to my list, so it's
all taking longer than I expected.
