online mineral museum page #23: the natural agate "pots" of brazil

Here is a Brazilian Agate Pot, purchased in April 1990. It is a natural agate hollow geode that
was cut and polished in the shape of a bowl with a lid. Check out
the close-up detail of the lavender-colored Agate:

For extra bonus giggles, here are a couple of smaller agates nearby on the mineral shelf:
That one is some sort of tube or bubble-type agate with some long fingers of red and
yellow "moss" or "plume" in the clear agate. I hope to learn more about where it
came from, because it's gorgeous.

Some small purple Agate nuggets of unknown origin...just because they look good. Not dyed, this is
the natural color of these pieces of rough, unworked, all-natural Agate.
