a musical interlude 2014-02-09 - 11:44 a.m. We listened to the livestream of the AM concert at Madison Square Garden last night. There was a certain amount of swearing involved to get the internet radio station set up, but it was worth it. I think DH was a little baffled that I knew all the words to the patter as well as the songs. Bashful Alex Turner is not a free-stylin' public speaker. He always says the same things. Saves a lot of stress on the fans, if you ask me. Alex trying to talk may be entertaining at an award show but it would probably be a little excruciating in front of a crowd of 80,000 people. There was no video since they only livestreamed the audio but it sounded great. Well, a few drop-outs here and there, thanks to Sirius, but nothing like what I feared, since my previous experience with Sirius was that it didn't play at all and even the car dealership that gave me the membership couldn't figure out why not. Heh. Tom Rowley was there. Miles Kane appeared on 505 and a Beatles cover. It sounded like a beautiful and emotional experience for everybody concerned.
