Let it snow!!!
Feb. 7, 2015
I could have written up yesterday's return flights yesterday, since everything went so smoothly that I was back home and completely unpacked with most of the afternoon still ahead of me. But I didn't do much except to stay in the view of Nyota, who would start crying pitifully the minute she couldn't see me. I was missed! Cookie was a little more mature about it, but he still seemed happy to hang out.
We already dropped off the SUV on Friday, and the hotel was literally two miles from the airport, so the clerk told me the name of the honest cab driver and I caught a taxi out to the airport a bit before 5:30 AM. The flights were on time, and the staff made an effort to get out the pre-departure drinks, etc. with all due speed. There was only one (awful) choice for breakfast (Chex cereal, I'm not kidding) but presumably the calories in all the Bailey's I drank kept me going. Heh. I don't know if they only loaded four Bailey's on the MSP-MSY flight but if they did, I got them all since the FA said they ran out and offered to bring something else. It's good to be in First Class. Considering the hour, I didn't ask about the Woodford Reserve. The other drinkers among my fellow tourists were sipping Bloody Marys so I don't think we had too many business travelers on a fine Saturday morning flight to New Orleans 10 days before Mardi Gras.
