bless your heart, honey, snorts the lovebird
2014-02-01 - 9:47 a.m.
Buzzfeed headline of the year: Pope Francis Blesses Male Stripper's Talking Parrot. They have a picture. It's a yellow-crowned Amazon. And Cookie has been lording it over Nyota the lovebird ever since...heh.
For a shocking change of pace I actually got out of the house and ran a few errands. Of course traffic was hell because everyone else in Mandeville and Covington did the same, since we've all been trapped in our homes for three freakin' days for the ice storm. Funny conversation I overheard at the bookstore: "I didn't know you were working today." "I'm not. I came in because I've been stuck in my house for four days." I now have sock liners. I have hand and toe warmers. I have magic wool socks. Who knew they sold that stuff in Louisiana?
