Well, I forgot to write up the beer tasting that we attended the other day, and now all of the beers have sort of run together. I don't have the best taste buds for the brew, I guess. One of the beers was called Blue Moon, and you were supposed to squeeze an orange slice in it and drink it on the full moon. I wonder if they know that all blue moons may be full moons, but most full moons are not blue moons. I have sunburned the back of my left knee. Quite a trick, since I almost always wear clothes or sunscreen. In this case, I was wearing clothes -- a skirt down to my ankles. So you'd think it would be OK. But I was itching like crazy from a mosquito bite, and I put some ointment on it, and all I can figure is that the ointment somehow primed the skin to burn in that area even through the tiny bit of UV allowed by a white and blue printed skirt. Grumble and mumble. It has been so long since I've had a sunburn that I don't remember how long it takes to go away. The gang warfare in New Orleans is getting out of hand, capped with five teens getting slaughtered in one car over the weekend and now two more people shot (but only one killed) near the same spot today. There have been dozens of murders -- 54 since the beginning of the year -- in Orleans alone, most of them since April. So the National Guard is coming back. Hooray. They should have never been sent away in my opinion. Lots of murders and shootings in Jefferson too.
