clapper rail 2005-04-10 - 9:17 a.m. D. and M. got some sad news this morning. Mean people suck, and greedy mean people suck even worse, and that's all I'm going to say about that. D. and I went to Fontainebleau State Park to eat some crawfish and catch a few afternoon birds. My life Clapper Rail came when we were studying a distant adult Bald Eagle. I suddenly became aware that an adult Clapper Rail had crept out into the open almost right underneath us. A fantastic look in the sunlight with every detail sharp and clear. If only I'd brought my camera!
