Usually people price their garage sale items in Mandeville like they plan to make their second million out of their garage, but we actually found a reasonably priced one today -- the first in years. Above is a close-up of a cute sea urchin that I bought for 25 cents.
It will join my small collection of sea shells and echinoderms in the dining room.
I also picked up a few junk jewelry items that I might try in my bead designs:

Afterward BF and I went back to the Expo, where we enjoyed the Abita Beer and the various wine tastings, in addition to the free Quizno subs and the battle of the grocery store turkeys. On the drive over, we saw a nice brown White Ibis juvenile checking out the drainage ditch alongside Highway 190.
I just read that "twice" as many butterflies are present at Mizell's as were present during last year's Butterfly Fest. The mind croggles. It should be an excellent fest if the weather holds out for next weekend.
