the lovebird is most displeased at the poor quality of human beings you run across these days 2015-02-12 - 7:45 a.m. I thought I might wash the dirty curtains where Nyota likes to climb and scramble and oh-by-the-by leave her little lovebirdy deposits. She stomped and cried and flew back into her cage and glared and stared but eventually and reluctantly she flew over to play on her actual playpen -- where she stomped and cried and looked out the now-curtainless window. Poor baby. Finally the curtains came out of the dryer all nice and clean -- and that's when I discovered that the curtain rods were broken and I couldn't put them back up. I blame the stomp and sulk of an angry lovebird landing on them with the full force of her one ounce weight. So then I thought there might be some curtain rods in the attic but whoops, turns out the door to the attic was broken too. Ever had one of those days? I covered the window with an old sheet and Nyota ripped it down and now I have the window sorta covered with a patchwork of fabric and cardboard. Eek.
