the miserable phone saga never ends 2013-04-30 - 4:54 a.m. If you blindly believe TV and the internet, everybody has a smartphone doing smart things, and maybe they do in Tokyo, but down here on the ground nobody I know has one...and I'm starting to figure out why. Seldom have I ever regretted a purchase so much. But apparently I'm stuck with it, since it was free. Not worth free...the latest twist is that if I make a call, it beeps every time I say something. Not the best way to try to make a doctor's appointment. Oh, and apparently just to be mean, it transferred all of my pictures from the old phone EXCEPT the orange-breasted falcon. Why why why? If you are wondering how this hateful little phone knew that picture was special and I would be particularly disappointed if it was withheld...that part is too easy. I had it as the exterior wallpaper on my old phone. later Got caught up with the month's writing quota, and now I'm trying to catch up with a few other things. Just read one of the diaries I follow. Awful news. Makes me feel bad about my own bitching and moaning. Sounds like the writer is a victim of a false accusation. Thought about writing him but I wouldn't know what to say. I'm sure my very existence would be viewed as evidence that a stalker/false accuser will destroy a life forever. At least if the person is determined to continue in their current career, which I fear is unrealistic. On a more cheerful note, I think I have already heard baby mockingbirds. And I've seen Indigo Buntings that appear to be paired. Will they stay here? I thought they always went a little further north.
