Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars.

For my Sunday morning, I listened to two interviews while I was working out. No one expects Jeff Mangum to converse, and the interview I listened to (from 1998) was notable mostly for his solo performance of "Naomi."
The one with Matt & Alex in Toronto a few weeks ago for Arctic Monkeys was, as with any interview involving Alex Turner, hilarious for how agonizing it was. I sometimes wonder if Alex got dropped on the head or something as a child. It. Takes. Him. Ten or Twenty. Seconds. To. Spit. Out. Each. Word. Even well-memorized stories like the "I was working in a pub and heard John Cooper Clarke blah blah blah" don't slide off the tongue. They have to be pulled out with hammer and tongs as if he was being tortured by the CIA.
I've said this before but it's only not-awful because he's successful anyway. I suppose it's inspiring that someone who essentially can't talk has managed to make something of himself in the age of relentless interviews and self-promotion. In another way, though, it's kinda sad that he should have to do this at all.
On another note, I got in my new Michigan septarian from spheremaker yesterday. It's just beautiful. I'll say more when I get it properly photographed.
DH says he may be developing a better way to cut grooves and holes in our stones. Time will tell.
