Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars.

we have cookies, we have elephants, we don't have owls

2014-04-26 - 11:58 a.m.

A shopping day. I bought the Calvin Klein skinny jeans but they were too long. I'm getting them hemmed. I also got a sleep shirt with upside-down tiny elephants all over it. I wanted owls or at least penguins but all I could find was elephants. Now I think they're kind of cute. I also got a black, white, and gray dress with a sort of modern art print on it.

One of my credit card companies thought I wasn't spending my $511.43 credit fast enough. They sent it back as a check, forcing me to make a stop at the bank. Why didn't they just put it in that bank account for me themselves if they didn't want it in my credit card account. Oh well. I don't mind. They have cookies. In fact, in a strange foreshadowing of the sleep shirt I bought, they had cookies in the shape of elephants with pink and white icing on them. Are elephants in fashion now? I liked owls.

I said buh-bye to the Indigo Buntings too soon. There were good numbers last night, and they're back again this morning. Heck, the Red-bellied Woodpecker and a beautiful male Indigo Bunting are out there right now.

I got obsessed by a story idea I'm writing but it's too strange for anyone else to read. Maybe it will get me warmed up for some more practical stuff later.
