Read my new book, The 10 Best Things You Can Do For Your Bird at Amazon or at many other fine distributors like Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and more.

By public demand, and after a delay of an embarrassing number of years, I've finally put my notorious essay, Ender and Hitler: Sympathy for the Superman, free on the fabulous internets.

A bibliography of my published books and stories.

Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars.

A Sadean take on Asimov's classic Three Laws of Robotics can be found in Roger Williams' NOW REVIEWED ON SLASHDOT!!! The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect. on my way

2013-01-05 - 9:41 a.m.

And so it begins. I'm at the SkyClub in New Orleans. Too early for the adult beverage, although a bartender actually popped up and offered when I first walked in. In fact, I already managed to get my two cups of coffee at home before I headed out. Go me. Have breakfasted on the caffeine free orange tea, froo-froo bottled water with a splash of cranapple juice, some kind of weird triangular cookie, and yogurt. No real fruit, just raisins and other dried fruits that don't like my stomach so I'll skip those guys.

I got a pop-up when I checked in online that said to show up three hours early, so I did, although it certainly wasn't necessary. There was no one working the Business Class line to take my bag, but a lady came over from special services and got it weighed in and on its way. Lots of construction at terminal D, so that if there's any crowd at all, it's going to take people awhile to get through security, but it wasn't too bad yet and I muddled through.

No one checked to see if I had my print-out for the reciprocity fee payment. I'm starting to think Delta is clue-free about the whole issue, which is perhaps not surprising since they just started the new requirement. It seems a little weird to require a print-out for something you paid online. Shouldn't that information be in their computer already? Oh well, mine is not to reason why...
