polar vortex some more again 2014-02-20 - 10:02 a.m. My heart is broken. My flight was cancelled yet again, and now I can't make the trip in time. Snowy Owls game, set and match. Peachfront ZERO! So disappointed. It's going to be a clear day on Saturday and I just know they're going to see a hundred owls. It's the MSP-HIB leg that keeps getting cancelled. I don't think anybody who flies in is going to make this tour -- just the people who can drive. *Cry* On a humor note, Alex Turner is still trending even as I type. In fact, he's at the top of my Twitter trends other than a "promoted" post. Sometimes #WhatsApp trends higher, and sometimes he does. They keep switching places but considering #WhatsApp just scored billions of dollars then Turner's drunken ramble is apparently pretty much worth its weight in gold in entertainment value. But it really seems like the kind thing to do would be to let him sing and look pretty and have some responsible grown-up make the speeches. I forgot to mention that yesterday I saw a Belted Kingfisher sitting on a wire on Hwy 190 in Covington near the WalMart. Never saw one in Covington before that I can remember... later To make my day of disappointment complete, some guy tweeted they had put out more Neutral Milk Hotel tickets. They were already gone. I bet those last-minute, day-of tickets of sold-out shows go to people in the know or people willing to kickback to somebody at the box office...Sigh.
