Read my new book, The 10 Best Things You Can Do For Your Bird at Amazon or at many other fine distributors like Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and more.

By public demand, and after a delay of an embarrassing number of years, I've finally put my notorious essay, Ender and Hitler: Sympathy for the Superman, free on the fabulous internets.

A bibliography of my published books and stories.

Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars.

A Sadean take on Asimov's classic Three Laws of Robotics can be found in Roger Williams' NOW REVIEWED ON SLASHDOT!!! The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect. Adult readers only please -- explicit sex and violence. For updates on the "Dead Tree Project" and other topics, you may visit the official fan site, Passages in the Void..

If you have great Peachfront Conure info, stories, or photos to share, contact me so I can publicize your pet, your breeding success, your great photograph, etc. on my site. Thanks.

really kinda blue

2014-04-11 - 10:13 a.m.

Big wave of Indigo Buntings and Blue Grosbeaks coming through, including many males. Maybe mostly males at my feeder. A couple of them just chased off the Brown Thrasher. Then both thrashers came back. Then more buntings. Then a Blue Jay couldn't take it any more and chased them all off. They didn't stay gone. At least the male cardinal has learned to adjust to using the feeder while all the little blue guys gather around him. The seed feeder and nearby trees are dotted with Indigo Bunting blue as I write.

The Red-Headed Woodpecker is now at the feeder. Yay.

Getting the Rx fixed was less stressful than it often is. Once I had to drive over to the hospital to pick up the new Rx myself. But that was a few years ago. Maybe they don't make you do that any more. At least not with heart stuff, when it's obvious you need to go ahead and get the medicine.

My new boots came from England.

I'm still a nervous wreck and haven't been able to do much writing. But I think we'll be back to normal soon, knock on wood.
