rough landing 2013-01-06 - 7:53 a.m. MSY-ATL. Offered a pre-departure Bailey's on the rocks. I think the FA gave me the rest of the Bailey's during the flight. He kept topping me off... Shower in the club room. The internet service was out in Atlanta, which entailed all sorts of hand-wringing and random announcements. I studied my bird book and sipped only one glass of white wine as I worked. Then to the gate. ATL-EZE. Just before departure, they announced that you did NOT have to already have your fee paid and printed receipt in hand. "They have put that off until tomorrow." Why mention it at all then? The people who hadn't known about the new rule and were sailing along in blissful ignorance suddenly started to worry. I was disappointed in the business class. The seats did not go all the way flat, and they were NOT angled. It was the old Northwest style where the guy in the window seat has to step over my sleeping form whenever he wants to visit the little boy's room. Pre-departure champagne. A kinda meh dinner. I didn't sleep very well. There was lots of turbulence, and I ended up tossing my cookies a couple of times, then rehydrating with Diet Coke. A beautiful day in Buenos Aries.
