Read my new book, The 10 Best Things You Can Do For Your Bird at Amazon or at many other fine distributors like Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and more.

By public demand, and after a delay of an embarrassing number of years, I've finally put my notorious essay, Ender and Hitler: Sympathy for the Superman, free on the fabulous internets.

A bibliography of my published books and stories.

Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars.

A Sadean take on Asimov's classic Three Laws of Robotics can be found in Roger Williams' NOW REVIEWED ON SLASHDOT!!! The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect. Adult readers only please -- explicit sex and violence. For updates on the "Dead Tree Project" and other topics, you may visit the official fan site, Passages in the Void..

I've gotten away from the political humor sites but, needless to say, I keep thinking over and over: I wish Bartcop had lived to see this day. I think it would do him good to see that they were finally holding Dennis Hastert to account for it. Even if they had to fallback on the old "lying to the FBI" gambit since the statute of limitations on the rape had long run out. Why pay somebody millions to cover up stale crimes? If he'd just continued to stare down the accusers like he apparently did for decades, then he'd still be getting away with it. See under: Bill Cosby and Woody Allen. Or: Is it possible that Hastert wasn't just paying off millions of dollars starting in 2010? Is it possible that's just the payoffs the FBI knows about? Is it possible he was paying off the victim his entire adult life? If so, it makes me feel a little better that the guy would never let him just walk away. But it also makes me a little sad because it suggests that the victim couldn't walk away either and became a bit of a stalkery type himself...

When I think of all the time and hassle that I had to go through to avoid accidentally structuring and making any mistakes using cash in my blackjack business -- to be honest the fear of accidentally making a mistake and appearing to be involved in illegal activity is one of the reasons I wanted to get out of it as soon as I reached my financial target -- it just gets my goat that a man earning millions of dollars can't be arsed to get a decent lawyer and a proper accountant to make sure he's in compliance with the law. They expect the little people to know all this stuff. But they CBA to know it or to have a professional know it!
