Read my new book, The 10 Best Things You Can Do For Your Bird at Amazon or at many other fine distributors like Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and more.

By public demand, and after a delay of an embarrassing number of years, I've finally put my notorious essay, Ender and Hitler: Sympathy for the Superman, free on the fabulous internets.

A bibliography of my published books and stories.

Here's a simple card-counting FAQ to get you up to speed on the basics. Here's the true story of the notorious DD' blackjack team, told for the first time on the fabulous internets. No other team went from a starting investor's bankroll of zero to winning millions of dollars.

A Sadean take on Asimov's classic Three Laws of Robotics can be found in Roger Williams' NOW REVIEWED ON SLASHDOT!!! The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect. torrential downpour of the car alarm great-tailed grackles

2016-11-04 - 4:33 a.m.

You may think you've seen a few cats & dogs rain out of a clear blue sky but you haven't seen rain until you've seen the rain forest. The day literally started with a bang as lightning crashed & put out power not just to the hotel but evidently the entire town...

Biggest display of the day goes to the displaying pair of adult Peregrine Falcons, who seem to have claimed the entire "rainshadow valley" between Veracruz & Oaxaca Valley--& who can blame them. Pretty sure I saw the object of their display-- another adult male who ended up streaking past us in the opposite direction of our happy couple. This was at the lunch spot & ' sensed the rest of the crew was in no mood for the Peregrine soap opera. We're there for rare endemics dammit, of which there were many but I may not have time to list them right now. The best might be the male Mountain Trogon but there many splendid ones like Red Warbler & Gray Silky Flycatcher.

More in a few abt my thrilling lifers, I think they're coming for my bags.
