christmas morning 2012 2012-12-25 - 9:45 a.m. I tried a different menu for Christmas Eve -- Spanish Prosecco in the Irish Waterford crystal glasses, osso buco braised on a bed of carrots, mashed cauliflower in coconut milk, pumpkin pie. The veal was very tender but maybe a tad too mild for me. I doubt I'll make that particular recipe again. Otherwise, the meal was a triumph. Leftover pumpkin pie this Christmas morning with our coffee. Cookie loved his new chew toy and went to it immediately. Nyota already got her main toy (the window play gym) but I got her some candy coated millet, not a health food, but at least she'll enjoy it. The conures were outfitted with brand new chew toys. Courtney has already displayed proudly to the one in his cage. Ah, peachfronts. It always takes them time to warm up to their toys.
