Butterfly Fest 2002
2003-02-20 - 9:27 p.m.
Here are a few photographs from the autumn 2002 Butterfly Fest at
Jim Mizzell's nursery in Folsom, Louisiana. There was no way
to capture the huge clouds of butterflies, with hummingbird moths
and ruby-throated hummingbirds thrown in for good measure, that
completely surrounded me at several points in the garden. BF
was working seven days a week then, so I visited by myself on Saturday.
On Sunday, I convinced him to skip work and come see for himself
and take some photographs with the "good" camera, which I still haven't
learned how to operate. Wow!
