I got my new Amazon credit card with the $30 off for signing up -- so my big-ass bird books only cost me $22.44. At least I'll have some money left to hire a camel to carry them around in the field, heh heh. When I called to validate the card, the guy wanted to know what I planned to use it for and why I signed up. Um, because they had a button to click on Amazon that said $30 off? By the way, you guys fired me as a customer last year for non-use of the card in question. So it's your own fault you had to spend 30 more bucks to get me back.
"You know you can use this card at the grocery store and stuff. You'll earn points." Yeah, whatever. It takes me, like, two years to earn enough points to get back a $25 gift card. So you folks can see that I'm one of the last of the big time spenders.
