cosmic collisions 2013-10-18 - 10:14 p.m. The Bart strike started today, and all the whackadoos got chased out of the underground. Other than that, it was another beautiful sunny day, maybe a little too breezy for our hummingbird friends. We visited the Golden Gate Park and the California Academy of Sciences. There was a planetarium show about various interstellar objects colliding and exploding, but I mostly held it together and didn't get too freaked out. Well, maybe once or twice when total annihilation of planet earth and all its inhabitants was threatened but other than that... The living roof, the rainforest, the aquarium, the earthquake simulator, the penguin feeding... Back in the neighborhood, we sorta randomly picked out a Thai restaurant that smelled really good. I had a duck soup and ate way too much. We came back and the full moon had risen over some really dark sinister looking building and we just stood there aghast and watched it rise and rise. Indeed, the full moon continues to spin faster and faster across the sky.
