the hummingbird wars continue
2023-10-18 - 8:14 a.m.
I clipped a lichen-covered branch to the upper curve of the far hummingbird feeder's shepherd's hook. An adult male Ruby-throat sat on it, only to be knocked off by another one. Then a female Ruby-throat slipped in for a meal.
So far today, I've only seen the adult male Ruby-throat-- at the near feeder this time.
I'm too slow to get out there & get pix with my new camera gear but I hope to get them used to the set up so they'll be perching in all kinds of nice places by the time I know what I'm doing!
