rain at selected intervals 2011-08-14 - 8:17 a.m. Who brings the rain? If you read "Monsoon Days: A Trip Report from July 1999, then you already know the answer. I'm now working on two, count 'em, two coffee tables so it rained twice, count 'em, twice yesterday. Sigh. As an added twist, DH's new credit card had disappeared. I'd wondered why he wasn't working on the promotion. The customer service lady says that we'll get new card numbers soon and that she'll transfer the promotion to the new number. I hope she's right. The bonus for that promo is $300, so it's a non-trivial exercise. K-Mart was having a close-out sale on Krylon spray paint. I should have bought more than 3 cans, but Krylon has a different idea of "coverage 32 square feet" than I do. In any event, as I bought the paint, I had to give my birthdate and hear a sad story about the clerk's nephew was arrested for...wait for it...bath salts. M-kay, so sure, we'd all heard that bath salts were declared illegal, but I guess I hadn't imagined that they'd actually be arresting people for it. When I realized I needed a second can of the gloss black indoor/outdoor and went back the next day, I got a different clerk, who indignantly informed me that you had to be 18 to buy spray paint but only 5 to buy a camping axe.
