Oh my Lord. It was time to color my hair. When I opened the box, I noticed that the instructions were missing. I did think a little think, but then I decided that I must have taken them out at an earlier time to remove some UPC code or something, since this box was the very last of the free boxes of hair color that the drugstores in my area used to give away in their rebate schemes every month.
And now my hair is purple.
Not as purple as this guy, who is violently purple even though he somehow photographed an eye-popping blue:
Violet-Bellied Hummingbird of Panama
Not hints-a-purple like this guy:
Blue-Chested Hummingbird of Panama
It's more of that maroon-y type hair color purple.
Aaarrrgggghhhhh!
Hummingbird Report: I have a female RTHU using the near feeder repeatedly this morning. Later: The male finally showed up around 10 A.M. at the near feeder. Later: The male and female keep chasing each other off the favored near feeder. Later: Up to 3 male RTHUs plus the female have been fighting over the near feeder -- tres hilarious.
Later
Hey, I just got a Monarch Butterfly stop by. It seems like ages. And this one isn't an April fool, unlike the story of the purple hair.
Later
I have acquired two new baby Siamese Fighting Fish. They are sort of a blue-purple in the right light. I got them from Freecycle. There were four. Two she was certain were females, and these two are just probably females. It's shallow of me, I know, but I took the "probablies" so that I might have a slight chance of a beautiful male developing. Maybe I'll photograph them later, but it's getting a little ridiculous, because I need to get my Panama photographs edited before I do anything else.
