shaun of the dead 2006-03-15 - 8:33 a.m. I just tried a bowl of the instant reduced carb brown sugar instant oatmeal. It still has 24 grams of carbs -- 1/3 of the day's allowance. But it's pretty good with Splenda and evaporated milk. We watched Shaun of the Dead last night. I've never watched the originals, because I'm afraid of unrelenting gruesome-ness, although I know they are classics and not supposed to be without some humor themselves. This is a good film, with only one really intolerable scene, made bearable by being at home on our not-ready-to-be-widescreen 25 inch TV set. If seen in the theater, I definitely would have had to cover my eyes for a few moments. Anyway, I laughed plenty. For some reason, Cookie didn't. In fact, he seemed rather aghast, sitting perched with wide staring eyes, although he didn't say anything one way or another. Maybe he doesn't get British humor, or maybe he didn't understand the accents.
