club complaints, well, i pretty much figured i was done with the clubs anyway

I've done a little bit of research on American Airlines, and, ugh, I'm pretty sure that it won't be my new airline. I'm already dis-impressed. I have a long layover at MIA, so I looked into getting a club pass. The thing is, their club doesn't offer anything. No drinks, no food. Apparently, you can BUY these items, but how is that any different from buying (from a wider choice of drinks and menus) in the concourse? Oh, you can take a shower, but that is IT for amenities. I'm not paying $50 to take a shower. And I was griping about Delta. Those wide open pour your own drinks in the Northwest Club, ah, those were the days that will not come again.
