I didn't have to look far to find an explanation for
Courtney biting me the other day. Yesterday I noticed that he was guarding the flight cage, while Ronnie stayed in the nest box. Today I checked the box and discovered that she'd laid an egg. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work out for them this time.

Damn. Just caught a glimpse of a bird going over the yard that might have been American Kestrel. Sure would have liked to get that one for the yard list.
