in search of the wild peachfront

2009-10-14 - 12:57 p.m.

Can you believe that, as of Monday, we've celebrated seven years of Peachfronted craziness. Yes, it's the seventh anniversary of the "Peachfront Speaks" diary. I'm sure everyone quaffed much champagne, except for those of us (like me) who forgot the exact date.

Well, I've just tried the online check-in at American Airlines, and they laughed me off the internet. I cast aspersions in their general direction.

A lot of little errands. Went to pay the car insurance, and the dude started telling me about all the birds that visited his yard. Reviewed the various checking accounts. DH's incentive was only $20, not $100, but we knew that. I'm still puzzled why they'd offer me a better deal. The accounts seem pretty much exactly the same. But he did get his $20.

Well, I'm off for a couple of weeks in search of the no-doubt highly atmospheric raptors of Bolivia -- and of course I'm hoping to grab a Peachfront for the list. I even put a small snapshot in my wallet, a copy of the photo of Arthur at the top of this page, so I'll be prepared to show what I'm looking for.

Cross your fingers and toes.

And don't expect much if any updates until I'm back. We're talking the wilds of Bolivia here, folks.
