new year's resolutions 2004

Hummingbird Report added 3:45 P.M.: She's back at the near feeder. One bratty unbanded Rufous/Allen's mystery hummingbird.
I reviewed last year's resolutions back a page. Here's where I boldly announce the 2004 resolutions:
- Get up on or before 8 A.M. 6 days a week.
- Exercise 30 minutes a day 6 days a week.
- Listen to the bird tape 3 times a week with a minimum goal of learning a new bird call each month.
- Birding goals -- get my yard list to 70 species, my Louisiana list to 200 species, my life list to 700 species. I'm starting from 66 yard, 197 Louisiana, and 576 worldwide.
- Clean a work space in the garage and keep it cleaned.
- Sell or otherwise clear 500 pounds of stuff out of the house and yard. This will be achieved without a huge oak tree smashing my office and crushing random stuff.
- Cut 12 stones -- beads, cabs, or carvings -- this year.
- Catalog the mineral specimens.
For extra bonus points, I will investigate ways to increase my income. "Pondering" my ridiculous health insurance rates doesn't really qualify as a full-fledged resolution though.
