geez louise, do you know who i am, do you really expect me to PAY to stay in your hotel? 2009-01-19 - 10:41 a.m. Well, I have just eaten the last of my homegrown satsumas. No more until next year. I got the word yesterday afternoon that the Clueless Casino Group finally woke up and did a purge of all the bums who have been taking comps and then not giving them any action. No more free rooms, no more free meals, no more "travel cash" to pay for gas and airfare. Actually, we would have been perfectly happy to give them lots and lots of action, but first they said we couldn't play blackjack and then they said, hmmm, even craps is a little dicey, and so what is a person left to do other than the good old-fashioned "take the comp and stiff?" So, for the past two years, our business expenses for the new venture have been next to nothing, but the free ride couldn't go on forever, I guess. Yesterday afternoon and well into the evening, I ended up going back and forth, wrestling with getting hotels arranged for the 30 days we already have scheduled. We still DO get comps where we do give action, at the Coupon Hustle place, so we got 10 free days there, and I unearthed a few odd comps in IMOM's name at the Good Location place. Through research, much swearing, and internet coupons, I ended up getting the rest of the days also scheduled in the Good Location place. Total price "all in" with taxes comes out to $674. Plus we will be receiving $40 in food credit from Orbitz at the Good Location place and a $50 Mastercard debit card from Expedia. Whew. A person can't rent an apartment any more for a month for that price. So I think we done good.
